Shop Severs Disease

Insoles can be used to help Sever’s disease. Sever’s disease is actually a normal growth process in the heel bone of children that has become irritated, usually by high levels of exercise. It is often misdiagnosed as plantar fasciitis. However, children do not usually develop plantar fasciitis which is a degenerative condition developed under the heel of adults. Exercises for the calf and foot muscles, taping, and the temporary use of supportive insoles can help. However, activity levels may need to be reduced for a while.  For more on heel pain in children, click here.
