Shop Swollen Ankles

Ankles swelling and occur after injury or during long periods of sitting and standing, are usually a result of venous insufficiency, or poor flow of deoxygenated blood from the veins to the heart. Being a long way from the heart and flowing back towards it against gravity makes returning blood from the feet difficult. This issue that can result in varicose eczema, phlebitis, leg discolouration, varicose veins, and even dangerous deep vein thrombosis. Moving around every thirty mins  and exercising feet while sitting helps, as does sitting with your feet up. However, compression hosiery is a very good idea if you suffer from recurrent ankle swelling or if you plan a long drive or flight. For more information,  click here.
